Outfit Details in previous post 🙂
Happy Hump Day!!! Today’s outfit is probably one of my favorite’s in that is portrays three things that I will always be obsessed with: mixing prints, thrifted pieces, and stripes. And even better, the colors were influenced by the 70s, specifically the tan or camel tones within the shirt and slip-on sandals. I find that when mixing prints it is best to include a solid piece to break up the outfit. For this I chose my black leather vest from Forever 21 which I totally forgot I owned, so when I dug it out it was like I bought it all over again 🙂 lol. What I love about this shirt is that it is a super light, chiffon material, while the cuffs and collar are stiff. It really reminds me of a proper menswear button down, which makes me love it all that much more! I’ve included this post in a post before, but the previous outfit was more suited for a day to night look. Whenever I wear pencil/midi skirts I feel like a snazzy businesswoman, so I would definitely say that this look is more suited for a business meeting or even a casual dinner with friends, family, and even coworkers. A couple weeks ago I went thrifting with a friend of mine and found these super adorable pony hair slip-on sandals, I was soooo excited to pair them with an outfit that when I put this look together I basically ran to them for comfort. To make things even better, I got them for a steal at $5 and they look as new as ever!
Anyways, it’s been a long morning for me already as I had to get up super early for an exam. I forgot what it was like to be a normal high school student that has to wake at 5-6 o’clock in the morning, ha. I don’t regret to say that I do not miss a single bit of it. But now that I am home in the comfort of my bed, it’s time to catch some zzz’s.
ps. I think I’m going to start a How To series, so consider this post as the first installment! What do you guys want to see in this series?
