Happy Sunday everyone!
I am so sorry that I haven’t posted in a while as I have been super swamped with trying to finish my classes before my impending deadline. Because of this I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot my outfits, so I decided that I would make some storyboards of things I’ve worn (or recently purchased) and how I style them.
I have yet to wear this outfit, but when I put it together I was thinking of a casual outing with family or friends. I think this is perfect for Spring/Summer as it is colorful yet comfortable.
I love this outfit! The colors and prints are really great together as they compliment each other tremendously. I wore this to the movies as I wanted to be comfortable, but maintain a girly/hippy vibe. This outfit really defines Spring for me and I can’t wait to wear more like it 🙂
I don’t know if you can tell, but I absolutely adore mixing prints. I find that taking simple printed pieces and combining them with understated jewelry is refreshing and is a great way to take a casual outfit to the next level. This outfit really compliments each other as the colors of the striped tee brings out the blues and reds of the culottes. I can’t wait to shoot this look and share it with you all!
Once again, I’m mixing prints, but this time I decided to stick with vertical and horizontal stripes. I promise this outfit looks 80% cooler on than it does on my storyboard, but I just had to let you all get a glimpse of it. With this outfit I wanted to keep some of the camel tones, but also to bring out the cream color that is evident in the shirts stiff collar and this pencil skirt. These shoes! I found these at a thrift store in St. Augustine called, The Closet, and omg I think I had died and went to heaven as everything was super retro and crafty. I can’t wait to wear them out! It’s been a while since I dug out my leather vest, so I thought it would be the perfect piece to break up the prints. I can’t wait to wear this to dinner with my family or my friends 🙂
I hope you all enjoyed my storyboards!
I have some exciting news! Recently I had the opportunity to be featured on Blog and the City as a guest columnist! This is one of my first collaborations with another blogger so I am extremely excited. I just wanted to thank the founder, Sophia Molen, for giving me this opportunity even though my blog is relatively new and blooming. Now before this gets too sappy, I’ve left the link to both my column, as well as a link to Sophia’s personal style blog, Tao of Sophia.
In addition to this, I was also interviewed for a gymnastics blog (this relates to my lifestyle) and will be leaving the link below as well! Thank you Anna Rose Johnson for the opportunity to speak about the other aspect of a HUGE part of my life!
Thanks for viewing!
